Zipcar Car Sharing Program for UMKC & Rockhurst

KC Clean Cities and KCP&L Announce Plans for EV Charging Stations(6/24/11)
This partnership with KCP&L was part of the Coalition's Midwest Regional Alternative Fuels Project (MRAFP).. The project ended up funding a total of 18 charging stations, 13 public and 5 private.












Metropolitan Utilities District I-80 Fuels CNG Station Opening
Senator Ben Nelson Senator Ben Nelson spoke at the opening of Omaha's first CNG fueling station in Omaha, NE on June 10, 2011.


MotorWeek Video (Lee's Summit R-7 School District) - This Clean Cites Success Story aired on September 17, 2011 and highlights the four Smith Electric trucks and their charging station-funded by the Coalition.

Topeka (KTWU-TV11 Business Segment)
- Features an alt fuel story on EV's and CNG vehicles. Mentions stations in Topeka and Overland Park. The story starts at 20.52 into the video and ends at 27.10.

MotorWeek Video (Kansas City, KS-USD 500)- This Clean Cites Success Story aired on November 12, 2011, and spotlights Kansas City, KS School District and their 47 CNG buses.

MotorWeek Video (Metropolitan Utilities District-Omaha, Nebraska)
- This Clean Cites Success Story aired on October 1, 2011, and highlights Metropolitan Utilites District usage of CNG as a clean burning, cheaper alternative to gasoline.

MotorWeek Video (Happy Cab)- This Clean Cites Success Story aired on November 26, 2011.  The video highlights the Happy Cab company and their plans to convert to CNG as an alternative fuel.

MotorWeek Video (City of KC, MO's fleet) - This Clean Cites Success Story aired on September 18, 2009 during the U.S. Department of Energy's MotorWeek, and the video spotlights the City of Kansas City's fleet-wide use of alternative fuels and vehicles.

MRAFP News Release  -
On September 17th, 2009, The Coalition's Midwest Regional Alternative Fuels Project (MRAFP)received $14.9 million dollars to fund alternative fuel stations and vehicles.
