Deirdre A. Brooks, a Kansas City native is a Client Services Coordinator for Metropolitan Energy Center.
She is a Friends University Alumni with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Management. She also holds an Associate of Arts Degree with an emphasis in Human Services from Metropolitan Community College.
Deirdre holds certifications in the Kauffman Entrepreneur First Step Business Program from the Kauffman Foundation, a Client Services Coordinator Certification from the University of Central Missouri and also an AmeriCorps Volunteer Certification where she volunteered in the her community for several years. Her challenge was to design and implement programs for youth in the urban core. She approached this initiative with the vision it takes a whole village to raise a child.
Deirdre has served on the Board of Blessed Home Health Care for the last three years. She has over 25 years experience serving in the arena of Community Services and Social Services, as well as, Project Development. Deirdre worked in Hurricane Katrina, Wilma and Ike with a team of other Kansas City ladies.
She is excited to work closely with the Green Impact Zone and other surrounding communities to help develop a sustainable neighborhood in the Greater Kansas City areas.
