Work Group Meeting:
Midwest CNG Coalition Annual Meeting
January 18, 2012

The Midwest CNG Coalition, formerly known as the Midwest CNG Task Force, will hold its annual meeting in Kansas City, Missouri. Topics include a legislative committee update, CNG and NGV user feedback, an NGVA update on the Nat. Gas Act, 2012 NG marketing opportunities and NGV vendors. The CNG Coalition is made up of natural gas interests in the Clean Cities territories of Iowa, Kansas City Regional, Nebraska, and St. Louis Regional coalitions.

Training for Automotive Technicians

Clean Start at Texas State Technical College (TSTC) has developed training and certification curriculum for liquid propane autogas vehicles and is bringing its training for mechanics to the Kansas City metro. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be awarded a certificate from Texas State Technical College.

Alternative Fuels Educational Workshop on May 17, 2011

As part of the Alternative Fuels Trade Alliance, the Renewable Fuels Association co-hosted an Alternative Fuels Workshop with Kansas City Regional Clean Cities on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 in Kansas City, Missouri. 

This workshop covered fuels including propane, biodiesel, ethanol, natural gas and advanced technologies. Topics discussed included fuel quality, infrastructure, available vehicles, sustainability, energy balance, safety and environmental impacts.
