The Greater Kansas
City Plug-In
Readiness Task Force has been formed
to drive the adoption of plug-in
vehicles in the Greater Kansas City Area. This
effort is sponsored by Mid America Regional
Council and the Kansas City Regional
Clean Cities Coalition. By the end
of June we will have a regional plan
to help get the metro area ready for
plug in vehicles. We are truly excited
to work with everyone to undertake this
ambitious and important effort and thank
those of you involved for sharing the
vision and working together as a team.
These efforts will make a difference
in our region’s ability to secure
the economic and environmental benefits
of plug-in vehicles. Please feel free
to contact us if you have questions or
to inquire about joining a subteam.
Why We Need This Task Force
- This
large, complex effort spans many groups.
- Each
group may have different concerns and
roles.
- Getting
us all on the same page sets us up
for success.
- Success
in this effort benefits the entire
region.
- Approaching
this in an organized manner helps manage
the impact on the grid as mass adoption
occurs.
